Thomas Nordquist is an American racing driver currently competing in the USF Juniors Championship with DEForce Racing. Born on February 6, 2004, in New York City, he now resides in Omaha, Nebraska. Coming from a family DEEPLY ROOTED IN MOTORSPORTS—HIS GREAT-GRANDFATHER AND GRANDFATHER WERE BOTH AUTO MECHANICS AND SEVERAL OF HIS RELATIVES ARE INVOLVED IN VARIOUS FORMS OF RACING—NORDQUIST DEVELOPED A PASSION FOR THE SPORT AT AN EARLY AGE.

 In 2024, Nordquist participated in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series, finishing eighth overall with three top-five finishes, including TWO  3RD PLACE PODIUM FINISHES AT NOLA MOTORSPORTS PARK & LIMEROCK, He also recorded the fastest race lap at Circuit of The Americas. ​

THOMAS JOINED DEFORCE RACING, INDIANAPOLIS TO MOVE INTO THE USF PRO “ROAD TO INDY” SERIES. GIVEN HIS RELATIVELY SHORT EXPOSURE TO OPEN WHEEL COMPARED TO HIS COMPETITORS, THOMAS COMPETED IN THE 24-25’ YACADEMY SERIES AND HAD AN 11TH PLACE FINISH.  HE IS CURRENTLY COMPETING IN THE USFPRO JUNIORS SERIES.

BEYOND RACING, NORDQUIST HAS DEDICATED HIMSELF TO PHILANTHROPY, WORKING ALONG SIDE HIS FATHER, AN ONCOLOGIST, IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.  AFTER SUMMITTING MT KILIMANJARO IN 2020, THOMAS WAS INSPIRED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THAT REGION’S BATTLE AGAINST CANCER.  THROUGH HIS EFFORTS, THOMAS RAISED OVER $250,000 TO FUND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 100-PATIENT HOUSING FACILITY AT THE KILIMANJARO CHRISTIAN MEDICAL CENTER; A FACILITY THAT NOW PROUDLY BEARS THE HIS NAME.

In his leisure time, Nordquist enjoys sim-racing, working on his 1993 Toyota Supra RZ, and playing basketball. He is also a sophomore at the University of Nebraska Omaha's Heider College of Business. ​

USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire is the first official step on the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire driver development system, which provides an unparalleled scholarship-funded path to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Indianapolis 500. The series is an entry level program for young drivers needing more experience and track time before moving onto the highly competitive USF2000 platform, and brings a level of professionalism and organization to a driver's first serious championship choice.

giving back beyond the track

In 2021, after successfully summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, Thomas Nordquist, along with his Father, a Medical Oncologist, were moved by the challenges faced by cancer patients in Tanzania. Through his outreach efforts, Thomas helped raise over $250,000 to fund the construction of The Thomas Nordquist Cancer Hostel,  the soon to be completed facility will provide safe, supportive housing for more than 100 cancer patients as they undergo life-saving treatment. This project reflects Thomas’s unwavering commitment to making a difference both on and off the track.
